CGT VTOL UAV Take -off and Landing on Vessel!
We are excited to share a significant milestone in our journey of innovation and testing! Recently, we successfully conducted take-off and landing operations with our #CGT #VTOL #UAV from the SeaOwl’s deck, a vessel measuring 13 meters wide, 25 meters long for take-off area, and featuring 3-meter-high walls on each side of its deck without any additional landing tools. These structural challenges, combined with wind, rain, and waves, created a truly demanding environment for the mission.
Despite these obstacles, the mission was a success, thanks to our persistent efforts and collaboration with our French partner CARBON 01 during the #Dronathlon program led by the #FrenchNavy. This achievement highlights the robustness and adaptability of our system as we continue to refine and test the CGT VTOL UAV for even more challenging scenarios. We presented multi-environment scenarios.
*Coastal Monitoring: Utilizing UAVs to generate high-resolution digital twins (HRDT) of coastal regions, enabling AI-powered analysis for point-of-interest detection.
*Naval Patrolling: Demonstrating UAV capabilities to patrol marine environments, detect, and identify surface vessels, with real-time data transmission from drones deployed from naval ships.
A big thank you to everyone involved in this mission. As we continue to refine and test the CGT VTOL UAV for even more challenging scenarios. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of UAV capabilities!

Ref: Dronathlon 24, organized by the French Navy in collaboration with the DGA – Direction générale de l’armement (General of Armaments) and the Defense Innovation Agency (AID), was held at DGA sites in Saint Mandrier. This event underscored the integration of advanced technologies, including VTOL UAVs and micro-AUVs, for coastal reconnaissance and aeromaritime control. The exercise showcased operational readiness, fostering partnerships between industry, academia, and defense, and accelerated the adoption of innovative solutions in maritime security and defense!
