The CGT50-VTOL is a 4,71 m wingspan T-Tail UAV. It uses electric powered motors for takeoff and landing and does not require a runway or catapult. It is a composite airframe with 5 kg payload capacity, powered by a petrol engine. The low fuel consumption enables a safe endurance of 6 hours.
The CGT50-VTOL can takeoff from a table and land on a 5×5 m surface with high accuracy.

The UAV has a 55 kg MTOW (including payload). It can be operated by just two people. Using A-techSYN’s AvionicsMini Flight Control System, flight missions are carried out fully autonomous!

The CGT50-VTOL uses distinct communication systems for C2 (datalink) and for Gimbal/Payload and FPV camera systems (videolink). Datalink communication system broadcasts on 900-922 or 869 MHz while videolink communication system broadcasts on 2.4 GHz band and a high bandwith of up to 10Mbs. Both links are 128bit SSL encrypted.

Communication systems are independent from the main setup and may easily be replaced. In standard systems, datalink range is 80 km LOS. Systems control is also possible using a satellite modem, which that the UAV can be controlled from anywhere in the world and the rage is depending on endurance and flight speed only

The CGT50-SLT uses a petrol engine with electronic fuel injection system (EFI). Thanks to the EFI system, it can fly up to 18.000 ft. density MSL. The engine consumes an average of 1,2 lt/h fuel in optimum conditions. The CGT50-SLT has 18 lt fuel capacity.

Using the 350-Watt generator, the engine produces sufficient energy to feed the UAV system and have an extra 200W to be used for payloads and extra equipment on board. It has also a backup battery which can power the system for 45 minutes, enabling a safe return and land in case of a generator or engine failure.

The UAV uses AvionicsMini Flight Control System which is a double redundant flight controller that is a product of the latest state of art technology and has several safety features build in.

The AvionicsMini packs the power management, flight control, and suitable connector interfaces for all necessary avionic components in a single unit. All servos, EFI module, communication links, GPS antennas, pitot tubes etc. are connected to this single unit making maintenance and failure detection easier.
